Apparently ESPN is going to post Obama's bracket tomorrow as part of their promo of their bracket challenge.

He met with Andy Katz to do the honors. Wouldn't you like to know what is hidden beneath his elbow here?

How can a man who ran on hope not have the Zags at least to the Sweet 16 or beyond?

All politics aside, you have to like a President who is willing to post his bracket for all of America to pick apart. (Please, no discussions of politics in this thread, I just thought this was humorous).

He's got Purdue over the winner of Mississippi State and ... um ... whomever!

I bet he'll have Illinois in the Sw 16 (quasi-hometown team and all), but maybe someone should notify him that GU's PG is a great player (and a great story) out of Robeson HS in Chi-Town.

There is a teaser on ESPN about Obama making his NCAA picks and you can see that he has us going to the Sweet 16 and then losing to UNC.

Interesting he has us over Illinois in the second round. :-)

Mr. Chairman:

I second the motion put forth by the esteemed Bartruff1:

We're Doomed

Watching Sportscenter and they are having Obama fill out a bracket.

He's got GU losing to UNC.

He's also got the entire Pac 10 getting knocked out in the first or second round...

East coast bias in the White House!

But he picks GU to beat Illinois. A bold move for a (former) Chicago politician.

Go Bulldogs!

USA Today (http://blogs.usatoday.com/gameon/2009/03/obama-picks-hee.html):

the South, he has opening-round wins marked down for North Carolina, Butler, Illinois, Gonzaga, Temple, Syracuse, Clemson and Oklahoma. Getting to his Sweet 16 from the South are UNC, the Zags, 'Cuse and Oklahoma. In that regional final, Obama is picking the Tar Heels to oust Syracuse.

The brackets are the lifeblood of the country.

What are the chances he makes a CHANGE to his bracket before tipoff?

Just sayin' .... :)

If Change University and Hope College both made the tourney, which team would he pick to win it all?

And dangit--I said to keep politics out of this thread. This is about brackets, levity, and just the refreshing fact that we now have a President who will both fill out a bracket, and who will publicly disclose it to all. Refreshing--whether you agree with the guy on his picks or his politics, or not.

Word.

What does he got Oregon State doing?

I think he has 13-17 OSU taking out 21-11 Houston tonight in the CBI. Which begs the question....how the hell does 13-17 get you in the post season??? St. John's also in the field at 16-17???

Obama doesn't have us beating Illinois, he has us beating WK. Which he does comment it's hard to pick against. Just unlucky for us we have to play the team he thinks wins it all in the Sweet 16. I hope us beating the Heels does not effect the stimulus package:p

65 teams in the NCAA
32 teams in the NIT

Not much left to choose from!!!!

Seem to think there are still plenty on teams over .500 to choose from.

CBI and now the All CollegeInsider.com tourney. Football bowl season is borderline crazy, when (2) 6-6 teams face off, but (2) sub .500 teams in a 3rd-4th tier BB field is a joke!

Not if they want to get a few from the Pac 10 or Big East to draw interest from those conferences fans.

Didn't realize OSU and St. John's still had fans???:D :D

I am sure Big East and Pac-10 fans will be on the edge of their seats for these games! I mean holy cow, the Big East has 7 teams in the NCAA, and 2 more in the NIT. Oregon is the only team in the Pac-10 to not be playing post season ball.

I just hope St. Mary's and Portland both win out! And of course the Zags too!!!
