Can Memphis be a No. 1 seed? Every team ranked in front of the Tigers in the Associated Press poll lost: North Carolina, Pitt, Connecticut. That means Memphis should be ranked first when the polls are released Monday. And not once since seeding began in 1979 has the top team in the final AP poll failed to get a No. 1 seed.
