Simple poll - pick the seed and location you think GU will be given Sunday afternoon.

Explain your pick if you feel the need.

Here is why I think GU will be a #3 seed.

UW a #3 seed lost in semi's. They now have 8 losses.
Wake Forest a #3 seed lost in quarterfinals to Maryland
Oklahoma, a #3 now lost in quarterfinals to Oklahoma St.
Xavier who is now a 4 lost to Temple.
UCLA a #4 seed lost in semi's to USC.

Gonzaga and Missouri will move up to the #3's.

I think the Pac 10 is viewed as somewhat light this year which will help Gonzaga. If we don't make the #3 I think we will be the top #4 in Portland in the West Region. We are the best team in the West and deserve to be a #3 in the West Regional.

WHOEVER THOUGHT IT WAS POSSIBLE AFTER OUR MEMPHIS LOSS?
it's mindblowing................

Portland and a #4. Only if SMC squeaks in...otherwise a five seed for the Zags.

Zags could be in the top 10 thanks to all the upsets, but I know from past experience that top 20 rankings don't necessarily correlate to the seed the Zags get.

I think 3 seed. We are the best 12 teams in the country, so it makes sense.
I think Phili, because no other reason than just have them closer to me....:D ,
but realistically, Portland.

Go Zags, give me a reason to go to Detroit!

4 seed seems to be reasonable and I like Boise better than Portland.

GU and Washington will be the 4/5 seeds in the same 4 team pod in Portland setting up a matchup for the second game.

Until I read the above post, that match-up hadn't crossed my mind. . .

If it happened, my heart says the Zags would thump 'em. My head says it would be a 3 or 4 point game either way.

I think the Huskies could be a 3 or 4 seed, not a 5; I think GU is a very strong 4 seed.

( Don't ya' love this time of year !?! )

Or the final four.

Or the final four.

The state would _literally_ explode if that happened.

I've got Portland with a #4 seed, in the conservatory.

I just don't see us getting a 3 seed this year. Conference tourney losses aside, I don't know if the Zags have a signature win to propel them up to a 3. I think the Memphis game will stick in the committee's mind, and we will end up with a 4 seed but a preferential location (Portland or Boise).

4 seed vs 11 seed USC in Boise. With the 5 seed being Xavier. I have trust issues with the committee...

All I would like to see is GU play UW or any big 10 team. U guys are right...the state would be a buzz if the committee put them both in the Portland pod

4 seed in boise. i tol my bro b4 st mary's gm. i said 5 with a loss.

I said we'd get a 4 seed in Portland or Boise after the Memphis game, meaning we run the table. But then again, I predicted a 2 seed after we ran the table after the UConn game...but I'm glad that didn't happen, we needed that Memphis loss to regain our focus and the team has been better because of it. Go Zags!

but we have reason to expect a 4 or 5 on the west coast. I would prefer a 4 or 5 in Portland, in the other pod from the UW. With the UCLA loss, I think we switch 4's with them and go to Portland.

Also, I Google Earthed the distance from LA to both Boise and Portland, and Boise is closer. Spokane is closer to Portland. Just sayin.............

My nightmare seeding is a 7 in Miami, with the first game at 9:00 AM eastern time. Ouch...........

Go ZAGS

I think we're a 4 seed in Boise .. although I would prefer Portland because tickets would probably be easier to get!

dig all of these possible scenarios! I have no clue.

I hope for the best, prepare for the worst, having been taught lessons before by the committee on what I think we deserve, and what they think and actually give us.

didn't say I expect the worst, because I don't, but who knows what they give us, if history has taught me anything

we'll know soon enough now anyway, but I do enjoy reading all of your posts!

GO TEAM ZAGS!!!

4 seed in Boise. Maybe Portland. The Zags are 6-3 vs. the RPI top 50, and they lost 2 games vs. two RPI top 10 teams at the buzzer. 5 of the 6 top 50 wins took place on road or neutral floors. If the committee gives them anything but a 4 or higher, they're punishing their potential 2nd round opponent.

GUB said #4 in Boise. 1 of 2 is not bad...

The state would _literally_ explode if that happened.

It now appears to be an option, perhaps including the state exploding.
