Here's hoping the Zags break out those new black uniforms for the Dance. Kiddwell loves those outfits.

"Zags" on the front. A muscleman sort of fit. Beauties!

As a higher seed I imagine the Zags would wear home whites, and not sure if any team gets to wear alternate roadies in the Dance. I do like the pinstriped whites, though - and the results.

don't even wash them. just dry them and put them on each game -- right on through the dance. We are on a roll.

Go TEAM Zags !

Man that's old school, could have been uttered by someone that knew the value of a leather hat.

According to the article we were supposed to have the Jerseys for our conference tournament too. For the first time ever, these five schools will also wear distinct Aerographic jerseys during their respective conference tournaments and run for the national championship. That's why the pin-stripe look was new.

made me thankful our name is on ours.

I mean, what does "State" mean ? There must be a thousand of them. Several in every state. Fine for local games but not for the dance, imo. Generic even.

Glad to see Oregon back to a uniform with, y'know, ANYTHING on it.

The all-white jerseys with the small ""O on the shoulder made the team look like they were wearing a bunch of nighties. Word on the street was the players hated them too, but what Uncle Phil wants, Uncle Phil gets.

Michigan St. has always worn the "State" unis. Its just one of those tradition things. Not that I understand it, but its nothing new. I really hate the Nike tight fit jerseys though. The Memphis one in that photo is bad. I personally think the current Syracuse & Ohio St. unis are awful. They look like a muscle shirt with bloomers for shorts, as the tight top makes the long shorts look really goofy. I also observed last year that the teams wearing the newer Nike tight unis either failed to make the tourney (like the Gators & Orange) or underacheived once they got there, with a few exceptions. Coincidence? I think not! : )

switched from the trademark Nike or swoosh to print, in large letters something like:

SWOOSH ?

I don't think so. Or maybe they will if it sold.

Nike has billion$ wrapped up in its jealously guarded trademark name & logo. However, since Nike makes some of its billions with new designs and changes and multiples of other teams names and uniforms, I don't blame them. even the team color changes make for more variety and more variety, if you are Nike, is all good.

But since they are not about to change their own trademark, color, etc., I don't understand why schools with 100 plus years of their own trademarks, traditions & unique names are willing to dump the ones they built up over the decades in favor of a more generic, less recognizable name, color, brand, etc etc.

But they do.

I'd rather wear Michigan State's shoe than any other. Gonzaga's by far the worst.

I suppose since the guys on the team helped design them we can't complain too much.

I admit if I had the dinero I would get me a pair. :-)

The "tongues" on the shoes say "FAMILY" (right shoe) and "GO ZAGS" (left). That's pretty cool. "FAMILY" is right! ;)

Royal blue, circa 1999, would be real cool.

Back the Duck up!! Who told Oregon they could dance? I know Nike owns the Ducks, but come on...2-16 in the Pac10. Oh, I guess they can wear their new jerseys in their one-and-done appearance in the conference tournament.
