Keating is a mere afterthought in this story.

But a great read! Love the writer's style.

The writer used to (still does?) write some for E$PN. He was/is a west coast specialist. I recall it being good reading. I assume he usually covers UNLV for the Vegas paper and had some free time, so he's @ the WCCs.

Wasn't Keating the coach who got on the PA to scold the fans for throwing things on to the court?
When I was watching that game I thought, "Alright. Here's a coach who is going to address his own crowd about what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior at a game." As a teacher at a public high school, I am often in the role of having to remind excited kids about not getting too out of control.

Then Keating spoke. He yelled at the fans and challenged them in a kind of "you do that again and I'll kick your butt" style. What arrogance. And, what an inept strategy for dealing with excited, frustrated college students. I felt that the second bit of trash thrown on the floor was a direct response to Keating's rediculous challenge.

So, is he whiner? Possibly, but it looks like he might have bigger issues when it comes to communication than that.

It makes me really glad that we have a guy like Few, who in ten years, has done nothing I can genuinely criticize him for.
