energy and tenacity - and in the middle of every play.

Micah for starting us out on the right foot. And then holding the throttle down. :D

I voted for Austin, because he was great offensively and defensively....even playing tough against Big John.

That said, I think the biggest reason we dominated was defensive intensity. We had it for about 39 minutes. 1 minute we didn't, coaches called a time out, made a couple of substitutions and guess what, "It's baaaaaack!" (tough defense that is)

I voted for Austin, also. At first, it looked like he was going to struggle with his shot but he started hitting and I think he relaxed a little. He didn't have that concerned look. Austin had a career-high 28 points! Congrats, Austin.

I have to also give Kudos to Micah. He's the glue, "The X Factor", the clean-up crew. He often comes in and cleans up after a miss by someone else. Nice game tonight. He helped set the tone early. Way to play, Micah.

it seemed as though Micah made play after play (on both ends) that favorably changed the game to our favor. I vote Micah but certainly Austin's career numbers were impressive to say the least.

Pargo had a great game. Lot's of players had a great game which makes picking one hard, but Pargo really looked confident. I loved when he snuck in and stole an offensive rebound from Bryant on a missed SC freethrow!

Micah was in the middle of everything when he was on the floor. He really showed some skills last night.

Daye was very, very good as well as Pargo... and Josh, though not much on the numbers, was very good on D.

Great game.

Micah, in a very close decision. He was nearly error free. His defensive intensity was huge.

Downs, he played with desire and intensity on both ends. Great job by many buy Micah is my choice.

Jeez....great game, but so tough to pick between Austin and Micah for me...

In the end, I went with Austin...he hardly missed!!

I LOVE Micah's game though. If he can produce like this night in and night out....WATCH OUT FOLKS!

Had to go with Daye for the G-Unit, after scoring 28 points as effortlessly as he did last night.

However, Downs the X-Factor!, Matt Bouldin, and Jeremy Pargo all played great tonight.

Downs with 18 points
Bouldin with 11 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 8 rebounds!!! That's fillin' up the stat sheet.
Can't forget Pargo with that great first half, 16 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds.

I wonder what guys will step up tonight against the Gaels?

Micah with the Cliche!

Daye, very nice, smooth out there today....

Go Zags, beat St. Marys!

Austin in a close shave over Downs. He pulled down some tough rebounds in traffic, stole an inbounds pass while guarding the passer, harassed shooters with his length, and scored a few points to top it off. Nice game. Nice game for Bouldin and Pargo too.

Like so many have said---it's a tough call between AD and Micah. Uber's going with AD for coming ready to play and contribute at both ends...oh, and dropping 28 with ease. Uber will say that he is really liking Micah's game right now and hopes it holds up against bigger, more athletic wings.

Matt! Solid game, 11 pts, 8 rbs, 7 asst, 3 st-made his teammates better.

03-09-2009, 11:57 AM
Any one of our starters could qualify- but I'll go with Austin with his career high of 28 points!

Hard to choose from so many great performances, but I have to go for Austin this time.
