According to Jerry Palm, Gonzaga is now at 34 in the RPI.

The Zags are currently 2-3 versus the RPI top 25, 3-4 versus the RPI top 50, and 7-4 versus the RPI top 100. Maryland (52) and SMC (55) are getting near the top 50. Oklahoma State is at 31.

Tennessee has a huge road game on Thursday when they take on South Carolina....a game that is likely going to decide the SEC East. You can watch it on ESPN at 4pm PDT.

Maryland has a big home game against Wake Forest on Tuesday. A win would most certainly enter them into the RPI top 50. This game is only regionally televised.

Oklahoma State has a home game against K-State on Tuesday, and they travel to Oklahoma on Saturday. The first game can be seen on ESPN2 at 4:30pm PDT, and the latter game on ABC or ESPN Full Court at 12:30pm PDT.

The RPI breakdown:

UConn (6) = L
Memphis (8) = L
Utah (9) = L
Tennessee (21) = W
Tennessee (21) = W
Oklahoma St. (31) = W
Arizona (47) = L
Maryland (52) = W
SMC (55) = W
SMC (55) = W
Wazzu (88) = W

I love that our "tough" non-conf schedule has indeed turned out that way. Basketball is a funny game...

GO ZAGS!!

You will see that Gonzaga is #13. I really like this profile best. You can see the Zags are 10th in offense (this surprised me), 10 on defense raw and 23rd in defense adjusted. (4th in defense % percentage). Non conference strength of schedule was 11th. The defensive % and non conference strength of schedule ranking was not on this particular ranking. I found those on another.

Go Vols, Terps and Pokes!

Don't forget the Gaels, BZ.;)

On a serious note, it only benefits us if the Gaels advance to the WCC Championship game vs Zags(assuming we make it, of course).

The Zags and NCAA Committee would much rather see us face and hopefully defeat #55 St. Mary's than #105 Portland. Just playing St. Marys again--win or lose--will help our RPI. Our resume looks much better beating a Top-75 RPI team than a Top 100+ RPI team to win the WCC. Go Zags!
