With Kevin Foster able to get hot and go off for 30 points, and other good shooters like James Rahon, what's your prediction for how many treys Santa Clara puts on Gonzaga's perimeter defense?

5?
8?
12?

More, or less?

I'm going to say 8. I think that SCU will feed the beast down low.

The real question is how many 3s will SCU bank in?

If I recall correctly (I was wrong about our tournament record), SCU almost always plays us tough at home, someone always seems to get hot from the outside. I am less concerned about Bryant than I am about a shooter having a night "in the zone."

Prediction 8

Zags win by 8 also. I think the team is on a mission.

If Bryant draws a lot of fouls on Josh, who is going to defend him?

Foster &/or zone & maybe some fronting as well.

lol . . . they have yet to start drop-kicking them in from half court.

But who's to say it can't happen once some hopped up sr., or reject, gets a wild hair like one does vs. us year in and year out . . .

This is a real concern. The Zags have more talent by far then any other team in the conference, but the three is the great equalizer, and if we're being honest the Zags have been known to bring out the best in their opponents from time to time. They know Gonzaga's perimeter defense is suspect, so they're going to throw up quite a few three's with the hopes of pulling off the upset. I think they'll be in the game well into the second half, partially because of successful three point attempts, but the Zags will eventually adjust and pull away for a double digit win.

So, is it 5 games in a row with a banked 3?

In Foster I Trust

It's time we all did...

Much as I admire John Bryant coming back from a brutal stabbing attack...I would love to see Foster just outrebound him and stuff a few of his shots down his throat

I reckon they will make 9-10 threes, with Foster launching a lot of them. I think Rahon may still have a bit of an injury that may limit his effectiveness. While everyone is concentrating on Big John, it will be interesting to see how Traz plays, in their last game he had 16 points on 8/9 from the field and had 2 blocks as well.

I say 8 threes by Santa Clara. Less if Few calls a timeout after the first uncontested three, or when a three goes off with Gray, Pargo, or Bouldin looking the wrong way. Nip these things in the bud. It's disgusting to see the same boo-boos game after game. The collapsing zone is an open invitation to pop.

Amazingly the number of SCU 3's and the Zags winning margin are the same.

1+

The streak shall continue! :D

Go!! Zags!!!
