View Full Version : Why WE, are the Arizona Cardinals

I've been doing some thinking on the subject (bad idea to begin with) and I'm going to share my idea on why we are this year's Arizona Cardinals.
Most of you (as Seahawks fans) are forced to watch the wonderful Western Division as I am (9ers fan) and so we've seen our fair share of the Cardinals in their "unexpected" run to the superbowl this year.
I say "unexpected" because I was one of the few that predicted this outcome - I kept telling people that even though AZ had a poor second half of the season, that they were just playing POSSUM - they already had a nice division lead that could not be overcome, why give away your secrets right before the playoffs? Give the other team a false idea of your weaknesses and then when it REALLY counts, you catch them off guard and mow through them so that they don't have time to adjust their game plan until it's too late.
Let's see, comfortable division lead, pretty much guaranteed to make the playoff (tourney), sound familiar? - I think Mark Few is taking a page out of Coach Wisenhunt's book and giving our 1st and 2nd round opponents some worthless game film. Watch for the Zags to keep barely beating WCC opponents, and then when the time is right, spring into action come March for an elite 8 or final 4 run!
Hope I'm right...

If Ira Brown signed on with the Cards Kurt Warner may comeback even if Anquan Boldin doesn't resign.

Don't forget Matt Bouldin.

You're being generous with the Glenfiddich. Someone broke into the Old Granddad bourbon.

However, after several losses by GU, one poster did try to compare GU to the Arizona Cardinals, a comparison any team with a disappointing regular season can make.

If Malmer is writing tongue in cheek, then he deserves a fine 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle Reserve for a humorous post.

I think Obama is "sandbagging" he knows he won the election- he has 4 years to "get it done" so throw some fancy words and say the word stimulus ALOT, the stock market will go up and down......and then when re-election time rolls around and he needs to bring his A game and reel off some big wins...WHAMMO the real economic solution......

BRILLIANT!!! I'm with ya Malmer:p

Still think Old Granddad is one of the more underrated bourbons out there.

Well then never judge a bottle by it's price! I'll have to give Old Granddad a try.

first of all, dont say we are all seahawks fans. I am a die-hard 49ers fan. Patrick Willis is the best line-backer. Besides that the point, I see where you are comparing us to the Cardinals. The one difference is the Cardinals have the best WR in all of football. Forget TO, Randy Moss, and Megatron (Calvin Johnson), Larry Fitzgerold is hands down the best WR since Jerry Rice (49er Love). TO and Moss might have better numbers but no one catches the ball and does it in big situations like Fitzgerold. Now relating that to the Zags. The Zags have great players in a weak conference like the Cardinals, but they do not have a player like Fitzgerold whos is a league best. Sure Austin Daye is a great player but he is not going to make the playes like Fitzgerold. The only player in college hoops I can compare to Fitzgerold is Blake Griffin. You put him on any WCC team (and this might be a stretch) and he will make them great. By the way, this is no knock on Kurt Warner who had an awesome year.

Anyway, Fist the Seahawks, Go 49ers!!!!!!!

Singleterry will bring them back to greatness.
