Josh - he likes to feast on Pepperdine

01-22-2009, 07:58 PM
Josh is the reason we won tonight. We lose to a horrible Malibu crew without him.

01-22-2009, 07:58 PM
Josh. Came out focused tonight. 25 pts...9 boards...3 assists...perfect from the line.

01-22-2009, 07:59 PM
Surf's up! Josh was ridin' the Waves.

01-22-2009, 08:03 PM
Josh was the man.

That dern JOSH did it again.:lmao:

01-22-2009, 08:13 PM
I'll give it to Josh, but I was impressed with Daye and his 10 boards, 5 blocks and 4 assists. Bouldin also played well with double digit assists and points.

01-22-2009, 08:13 PM
Josh was huge....but Matty with the double double with 10 dimes and 14 points!

I think that Matt and Josh both had GREAT games. My g-unit goes to Matt for the 10 assists. He helped Josh (a very close second) get to his start.

I vote for Josh, but it is fun to think of next year with Matt and Austin playing at a higher level then this.

Josh was attacking like the Josh of old. I hope he continues the passion to grow his toughness when playing against tougher competition.

01-22-2009, 09:11 PM
An easy call : Josh. One disturbing aspect, teamwise, is that other than Austin and Josh, there wasn't alot of activity by others on the boards.
Gray, Pargo, Meech, Bouldin, etc. have the quickness to do a better job, even five boards a game by the guards makes a huge difference. Pep got too many second chance on the offensive end in the second half. Everyone's got to hustle after rebounds.

01-22-2009, 09:15 PM
Matt. So many sweet lob passes. Wow.

01-22-2009, 09:20 PM
Definitely Josh. Games like this are all about setting the tone early and JH definitely did that. He came out with a purpose, got position, went strong to the hoop, ran the floor well, and also hit the open 3 when it was there. All teams get runs, but this was decided early and it was all because of Josh.

Uber usually doesn't offer up an honorable mention (as that is against woohoo's original rules from the Scout days) but something here needs to be said about Matt B's game. Very outstanding game from a "2" who is asked (or has to?) to step up when the starting 1 is struggling a bit. A double-double? Kiddin' Uber, right? Uber wants to see Pargo return to Orlando form but this team is in good hands even without that.

Can't choose between Josh and Matt tonight. Hate doing this, but split the GUnit between the two. Another fine game from Austin and Micah also. And hats off to the Waves. After that 17-0 beat down early, they showed alot of heart. The rivalry could be back in a year or two.

01-22-2009, 09:47 PM
Okay, we don't lose without Josh tonight. This game was never in doubt. We got up 17-0 and it was over.

But Josh gets the nod. I guess he loves playing in Malibu, dating back to his 27 point, 22 rebound performance a couple years ago.

josh even though I liked matts statline.

Josh solid performance

01-23-2009, 01:15 AM
Austin, no question. Josh got lots of points and was great on offense, but still didn't give a lot of effort on the boards, especially early. Nice offense, though. Austin had a pretty good offensive night and really worked on D, on the boards, and to get his teammates shots, too.

A nice shout-out to Bouldin, too. Nice double-double - it seems like he's been given the keys to the offense.

Matt, have loved his game lately, keep it up

01-23-2009, 08:37 AM
Josh... but with HMs for both Matt and Austin.

01-23-2009, 08:48 AM
Matt- He did everything but sell programs at the door.

01-23-2009, 09:03 AM
I'll give it to JOSH because he is starting to play like his old self. Hoping he keeps it up. Daye was very good. BUT, Matt has stepped up, is consistent, and is running and inspiring this team. Another exceptional effort by M.B. Much continued admiration for Matty B.

01-23-2009, 09:21 AM
JH - Maybe his good free-throw shooting will become contagious.

01-23-2009, 09:47 AM
Matt Bouldin, 10 assists, 14 points, 3-5 from Three. Ran the team last night.
The guy just needed a confidence boost to let him know what he's capable of.

I'll give it to Josh when he can get a double digit rebound night.

01-23-2009, 10:29 AM
Matt Bouldin I thought Matt may have played one of his better games. I am sure he had his career assists. I love passing, and Matt was a great example of how it's done. I'm still shaking my head in amazement. I think Matt's new nickname could be The Surgeon because he certainly can pass with the precision of a surgeon. So many of Josh's points came because of totally amazing passes from Matt. Finally, we may have found someone who can pass to the post. Few must have been happy last night to see so many points coming from the low post. Matt also shot very well.

Josh played great too. I'm not saying that. And Austin played well too.

01-23-2009, 12:22 PM
Matt is becoming the poker stirring the fire but the GUnit for this game has to be Josh. Keep it up big guy.

Go!! Zags!!!

I don't get to watch the game until tonight....but based on stats, I'm going with Josh Heytvelt.

I'm excited to watch it though.
