The Wynn Encore in Vegas is having problems due to the economy and is offering rooms for around $170 a night. If you are headed to the WCC tournament and don't want to stay off the strip at the Orleans - which in all due respect is like staying at the Holiday Inn in Moses Lake - you might want to give them a call. CALL - don't use the web site - and tell the operator you saw the story about the discounted room rates on television. They are trying to sell rooms at about $250.00 per night (about half of normal) but keep pressing and you should get the $170.00 or $179.00 deal.

I am not [obviously] a shill for this hotel. But if you and your sweetie want to spend a couple nights in one of the fanciest hotel rooms in North America at bargain basement prices while attending the WCC tournament, don't wait.

PS, don't eat at the restaurants, they will rip you off for 300% of the savings on the room.

Go Bulldogs. WCC and Vegas, Baby!

Southwest Airlines has a 2 day sale (Dec 30 and 31) and Vegas tickets are 1/2 price. $70.00 each way from Portland to Vegas. All flights - no blackouts - and good for WCC weekend dates. Wow!

Any other hotels on the strip offering up deals that aren't posted online?

Hey 75Zag, I called the encore and they made it sound like I need a promotional code or something because I haven't been a guest there before. Any ideas? Thanks
