Great article.

Would be an interesting test to see how many current fans can name the "kid" in the photo with Fewie. Don't type the name -- but you can say yes or no if you know who it is.

"Yes"

"Yes" a classic Zag, and I love the Zag's uniform from '99.

Not until I cheated by looking at the roster ....

Yes, but had to look at the roster to confirm it.

Love those uniforms.

I think I know, but I'm going to cheat and do what ZN did because I'm not 100% sure.

Great piece of info from Katz:

It really shows the family atmosphere at Gonzaga. About half our team currently lives in Spokane.

Yes.

I remember every player from that team. "The" Team.

Bedtime bump for a great story.

We should really set up a long term home and home series with UConn, like we have with Memphis.

Every game so far between them has been a true basketball classic.

No. I had to look at the roster.

There weren't enough games on TV in those days for me to be familiar with what the players looked like.

those were "my" guys back then, so I most definitely knew who that was, no roster checking here.

I still think they need to bring back the old royal blues for a game this year for the 10 yr anniversary of that team.

Yep.

Met him before I even knew he was a Zag and before the run started. Made a sincere effort the smooth over an awkward kid in an even more awkward situation. Needless to say, one of my faves.

Could remember his first name, and the first letter of his last name, so I had to look it up. I'm so ashamed.

I remember when Prime Sports Northwest carried a game or two a year. I thought "This is the bigtime -- being able to watch the Zags on t.v. over in Seattle".

I guessed correctly, but checked the roster to confirm my guess. :o

"To be honest, I never really had heard of the school, But since I've been here, I've had three (West Coast Conference) championship rings, been to the NCAA twice and the NIT twice. So, we've shared some real success."Mike Leisure3/99
