Oh, man! between ZagsWorldWide's intro to this story and JR's priceless post on jronfire, I'm awed by the writing talent out there by Zags ballers and fans in cyber space.
Be sure to open the link. It's a good one!
ZWW also has a nice post about Ronny's recent performance here, and it includes this fabulous photo of our friend from Martinique:
JR, On Fire
It’s truth.
John Rillie scored 18 points on Thursday, and the visiting Townsville Crocs made it 4 wins in a row, walking into the North Shore Events Centre and smashing the NBL-leading New Zealand Breakers, 104-88. JR’s line: 5-9 FGs (4-7 3’s), 4-4 FTs, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal & 1 block in 28 minutes. Townsville is now 8-7.
After a really, really un-Rillie start to the season, John has lit it up the last three contests, averaging 19.3 ppg. He’s connected on 14 of 29 three-pointers, 6 of 7 two-pointers, and all 4 free throws.
The cool thing is, JR knows the reason for his turnaround. Even cooler, he shared the secrets on his blog, where they can be benefited from by everyone. And coolest of all, he credits the support he received at GU as key.
