After years of travelling around the western US to watch the boys in the tournament they are finally in Sactown, at a venue I pass twice a day to and from work. The temperature this week is in the 80's and screaming for tailgate parties, ice cold coronas, footballs tossed around the parking lot, with tension filled tournament games blaring from radios and televisions locked on CBS humming in the background. At first, I didn't even consider going to the open practice tonight, after all I know these guys, I've watched them 30 something times on this year on the tube. But I knew I would be letting down my two sons if I didn't take them tonight, so I will be at Arco starting tonight and returning throughout the weekend (hopefully) to support this years edition, in my mind a very special group. If all goes well tomorrow, Saturday will be even more glorious, and the tension even higher. I'm hoping Dionne Warwick is in the house...wearing a zag jersey.... to show the way to our next destination.

I doubt there'll be much to report on from tonight's visit, but feel free to pass on anything you see to those of us too far away to make today's open practice.
