21 bench points to 7 for Virginia. Gotta love a deep bench and it appears Graves has a rotation equal to the mens team. Hope Courtney's ankle is not a high ankle sprain.

beating a ranked team without your stud PG! That's a big win.

At one point just before the half Coach Graves had Vivian running the point, Janelle, Kayla, Kelly, and Heather on the floor all at the same time...the announcers were trippin about how everyone was over 6 ft. during the halftime the announcers talked breifly with VA head coach Debbie Wright and she said that the all the players can handle, pass and shoot well and they play like an international team.

Keep it rollin girls

Crickey! I had to go downtown and missed this. Sheesh!

Hey, does anyone else smell a win in K2 vs Tennessee? Virginia beat them.

I do. :)

Just my opinion, but I think the Zags are better than anyone thought.

Great win.

The ACC must love to see us on their schedule, men or women.

Bowman and Friesen were named to the all-tournament team. Congrats Julez!

And we all know there would've been a 3rd Zag on that list, if not for a hurt ankle.

I am proud of my babies first college All Tournament Team selection

The best thing about this team is there are a number of girls on the team that can step up and play that way.
Go Gonzaga men and women ranked maybe?

Wow! What a great win for the program. Congratulations to the Lady Zags. That's the kind of victory that turns heads around the country. To win against a quality team with Courtney on the sidelines says a lot about the caliber of this year's team. Here's hoping she's back soon.

This was a BIG team win! :)

Heather's double-double was big!

I keep a stat that may be meaningless to others. I always look at the P/T Ratio of each of our players in every game. In other words, points scored divided by the time on the floor. Anytime that ratio is one (1) or higher then I view that player as having a very high scoring production ratio for the team. Kelly Bowen had 5-7, 2-3, 3-4, for 15 total points. She played 14 minutes so her ratio was 1.07...excellent. :) Game Impact Points are most important so I focus on players scoring 8 or more points for their P/T Ratio. If our team could score a P/T Ratio of one (1) then our final score would be 200 points! Think about that Tennessee! :)

After wondering where our bench players were during the earlier three games the "bench" gets my respect on beating Virginia. We have such good starters that many games can be won without a strong bench. When our bench players are having a great game I doubt there is a team that we couldn't beat. :)

Congrats to the Gonzaga Women's basketball team who yesterday knocked off #16 Virginia. After following this program for many years, I feel this could be the biggest regular season win in GU Women's basketball history!!! Tatri Lorenzo stepped up big and ran the point like a champ with Courtney out due to an injury. This was a total team effort win and Zag players, coaches, and fans should be very proud. I hope to see the Zag fans make the trip to Cheney on Thursday (Dec. 4) when the ladies play Eastern Washington.
