JH is BAAAAAAAACK!!! The rematch on Sunday with TN will be a chance for redemption with a healthy Josh. He was an absolute beast today which is what we need to see from him each and every game.

In the 2nd half, once Josh got more active, I said to myself, *THAT* is the Josh we have been waiting for!

Josh takes it, no question. Though lots of guys were solid - Ira was a monster off the bench and Downs was, again, consistently solid. Oh, and Sacre was exactly what the doctor ordered for this team - amazing coming off the injury with limited practice time.

Lot of good performances...but Josh was the man today. Will be interesting to see the "efficiency stats" that the guy from Minnesota with the Arizona handle does - always look forward to seeing that...have a feeling that Daye scored pretty high.

Josh played as well today as any player in college basketball this year. Way to go Josh on proving that you should be mentioned with the best big men in college basketball. And way to go Few on letting the rest of the team know at halftime that they needed to look to Josh first. I think OSU yesterday would have been easier if Josh was more involved. Let's hope he can put up these kind of numbers against Tennessee...it's time for some payback after the ass-whoopin' last year.

Josh, I can't but notice the maturity another poster mentioned. When Micah thought there was a bad call in the second half, Josh was the one who grabbed his jersey and pulled him back. Then running off the floor for the time out, he patted not just Micah on the back but the ref too. Not cheesy at all, very sincere.

Also liked the espn interview. He gave a clear and concise response to the question. Liked he said they ahve not looked at Tennesse yet.

Josh. One of the posters on the Maryland board commenting on Josh's dunk, "95% of the players don't even catch that, and of the remaining 5%, 4% can't finish the dunk.

Austin Daye edges Josh on intangibles
he got the double double, Josh didn't
he is so disruptive on defense and offense, he rattles the opponents forcing them into desperate moves
the way he drives in near the basket, then lifts the shot in, like Ammo did, demoralizes their defenders in the paint

it was close, Josh did get 5 more points, but Daye seems to be everywhere when he is in the game

Josh holds the ball still too much, after awhile defenders go for it; I think he ought to jerk it around more when he gets a pass, like Batista did and like Daye does

After reading the post-game write up on Yahoo Sports, I am surprised that more people didn't pick Austin (I still go with JH after reading it), but him having a double double with 3 blocks, you woulda thought the voting would be closer...

A few weeks ago the nervous nellies were concerned about our big man situation, and positive that Robert was essential for any kind of consistent season. Well, Robert's contribution has been sweet, but today's game displayed what I meant then that this team has two studs at 4/5 that 99% of college teams can only dream about.

Austin was gold down the stretch, but Josh made the difference when it was still a little in reach.

Josh.

For me, the difference was that Austin, despite his great play, had a lot of 'freshman' type mistakes at times, especially on D. He'd have me jumping up and pumping my fist, only to have me shaking my head 2 mins later. Still great play from Austin overall, though. He is getting tougher and smarter out there. Now if he could only get that freethrow form down again...
