Just wanted to stop in and say hello to Gonzaga fans.

The Lady Raiders of Middle Tennessee are excited to be playing Gonzaga.

MT is in it's 4th straight tournament and in previous years have defeated North Carolina and NC State in the first round of the tournament. This year has been very successful with only three losses, all in November of last year. We opened the season with a 4 point loss to last year's national champs, Maryland, at home in front of 10,000. The Lady Raiders went on the road and handily defeated nationally ranked Georgia early in MT's current winning streak, now at 26 games.

MT is led by Chrissy Givens, two time SBC POY, two time SBC Defensive POY, and two time SBC Tournament MVP.

Defensively, you can expect the Lady Raiders to apply pressure the whole game. MT will also shoot a lot of threes.

Lady Zags stun Middle Tennessee! ;)

Looking at MTSU as just a scoche below the top tier teams of UNC, Duke, UConn and Tenn. In that Zags got humbled by UNC (by 38) earlier, don't see much chance for a W on Saturday. Give the Zaggettes a year of tournament experience, the addition of a stellar recruting class, the return from injury of one of their best players, and they WILL be a force next year. This year: MTSU 78 GU 60.

We look forward to the opening round match-up against the Zags.

Feel free to drop by the Blue Raiders #1 site for women's basketball at www.BlueRaiderZone.com. We would love for some of you to come over there and share a little about your team, key players, and what we can expect come Saturday.
