who or what is a kevin panzer. Someone bobzag was refering to with the german reference. How do you know it was Kevin and his Mom? do you know him or talk to them? Panzer's gotten some nice ink, though there's not a ton out there. ESPN recruit tracker sure looks high on him (http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=64247&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncb %2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fplayer%3frecruitId%3d642 47). Scouts, Inc. gives him an 87 grade.

Scout still only shows him as a two star, which is strange, because Hicks does have him in the class of the West Coast's top 3 PFs. Penn's in his school list in Scout (http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=3767453). Do you suppose that's a tip off that he might be a pretty smart kid?

I was at the MAC way early and started to bs with his mom---while just standing next to her at the railing--she spilled the beans on who she was and who he was--nice people--he looks a lot like Micah--had a red Gonzaga long sleeve shirt--said he has visited Cal San Diego and ASU--but said he really likes GU--thinks the NW is "cool"--they sat behind the bench--up about 8 rows or so---nice people to talk with--I think that they came up on their own dime--I don't think GU can offer visits to jrs--

From Greg Hicks last May--

"Kevin Panzer, 6-8 SO PF Mission Viejo (Calif.) Capistrano Valley. Panzer might be the biggest sleeper in the west at the moment. He’s got a good frame, length, some bounce and a great stroke with deep range. If there’s a better shooting forward in the west for 2010, I haven’t seen him yet. He needs to work on his back-to-the-basket game – his game is more finesse than power at the moment – but he certainly looks to be a high major prospect."

Thanks, RD. I saw Olynyk, Kingma and Michel. Wasn't aware we had another recruit in the house. Yes, he had to pay his own way. Only Olynyk could be paid for, he's a senior.

Well, wish we could have given him a little bit better of a show for his visit..the MAC was eerily quiet at times (i.e. end of first half). However, he's gotta see the love for Gonzaga in spokane even for this game against MSUB
