    Sacre Update - Excellent News

The boot is off and the bone is healed. Still a couple of weeks of rehab but things are looking good...

Great news Bob. Do you know if they have a timetable for when he will be able to compete at 100%. UConn would be nice.
"I enjoyed watching them play more than watching us play," Izzo said after watching his team eke out a 75-71 win over Gonzaga. "I thought they punched us in the mouth, picked us up and punched us in the mouth again."

This must have contributed heavily on the decision of Andy Poling to redshirt.

I like posts that start with "great news." Glad to see Robert's a fast healer and won't miss much time this year. We're gonna need him.
What are you doing, Adam? Do you even know how many people go blind from pizza shrapnel?

Good point. IMO, it probably did.

I'm not aware of a specific timetable. Whenever the doctors and therapists give the greenlight, I suppose. Sorry.

I would prefer that he wait a bit longer to make sure he's fully healed personally. Afte JH had his troubles last year with his injury I'd hate for us to not learn from our mistakes by playing him before he's ready. Great news that he's healing on time, but I'd rather have him full and healthy in march, than being a question mark.

No problem. Him playing before the conference would be a blessing, considering Heytvelt's situation last yr. Hope he comes back when he is 100%. I am sure they will take all precautions.

                    ditto

I am excited for Rob. I have good feelings about him, and how will contribute this year. I feel this is excellent news. When Rob broke his foot it was a real bummer for me. He's really part of the pormise for a great season this year. Yes this is great news. A good omen.

Terrific news! Of course once he is medically ready he will have to get back into game shape etc. Also we have yet to see what progress his game made in the off season. Sure hope it was at least as much as Will.

Anybody have the latest on Sacre's condition and whether he'll see playing time in the OSC?

                            He said he'll play tomorrow.

How much is up to Coach Few. They will likely ease him into the rotation.
