The photo below is a quilt hand made from Zag t-shirts that the lovely Mrs. Angelo has spent many, many hours assembling. There are some classic shirts in the quilt, including shirts from 1999 West Regional (Elite 8), Kennel Club, Battle in Seattle, WCC undefeated season, and a Pendo's Posse shirt that was contributed by David's mother.

The t-shirt quilt will auctioned at the School of Business Vintner's Dinner on November 14th in Seattle. I believe there may be online bidding...if anyone is interested, PM me and I'll try to get the information to you.

The proceeds from the sale will be used to finance the Alumni Association--Seattle Chapter's day of service next April in Seattle. If anyone is interested in participating in the day of service, let me know and I'll keep you in the loop.

Go Zags!

That's really cool. I love the idea of T-shirt quilts; my mom made one with all my school activities, sports, etc., when I graduated high school. It's a good way to keep memories alive.

Gee, Angelo, why don't you just pony up five or six large for the School of Business and keep it ?!? That's a tremendous keepsake.

(Unless of course those T shirts weren't washed after wearing them to the games. . .)

All kidding aside, that should stir quite a big ruckus at the auction.

That is a wonderful quilt. I would have a hard time giving that up. She is a special lady. Let me know about the bidding!

Reno, that's about what it would have taken.

The quilt was auctioned off for $4,000.00. What was cool was the successful bidder immediately gave the quilt to Father Spitzer, so he could take it back to campus.

I took Fr. Spitzer to the airport last night directly from the event and offered to package up the quilt and send it to him. He said no way was that quilt leaving his sight.

An outstanding effort by Mrs. Angelo, and an outstanding effort by the successful bidder.

Thanks for the update on that story. I hope they find a space at the Mac to permanently display that beauty.

And an outstanding effort by GoZag to liberate the quilt. Father Spitzer is too much wise.

Didn't have a chance (or the $4,000).

I was over for the Vintner Dinner and Auction, and this Bid Item was a highlight.

Thank you to Mrs. Angelo.
