His list of schools per Scout were--

Arizona
Boston College
Georgetown
Kansas
Kentucky
Louisville
Syracuse
Texas
Washington

Gonzaga's staff may or may not get him, but I think he's definitely worth trying for. I think Few has to at least try.

Wow! This could be our missing piece.

Bob, you already said he was an option, but what are the chances that we are one of the teams he is looking at? Does he have interest in us? If he happens to commit to us, when will he be able to play? 2009?

I like this guy as a possible PF along with Dower and next to Sacre.

Whoever gets this kid is going to have the advantage of putting him in the weight room for a full year before he officially takes the court. Like many high school big men, he needs strength to unlock his full potential as a player. A year in the weight room should make him into a impact player from day one.

From today's Tuscon Citizen:

I wonder if he would consider going home to play for Bill Grier???

Does read like he may have something in mind. Would love to have him but don't see why Withey would find GU appealing now when we've never been on his list.

He's definitely worth making an effort! I actually saw him play in person against my little cousin's team a few years back down in SoCal, and this guy is the real deal. He has great mobility for someone his size and he's a beast on defense. A nice showing in the OSC could also go a long way in courting Withey. Plus, with Josh being a senior and Austin a possibly early entrant into the NBA draft, there'll open competition for a lot of vacant minutes in GU's front court.

Question for those privy to the NCAA trasnfer rules: Since he hasn't played in any UoA games this year, could the 08-09 season be the year he'd have to sit out due to a transfer? I'm assuming he wouldn't be opting out of Tucson at this point if that weren't the case, but I thought I'd still ask.

I think Gonzaga is trying, but I'm hearing through other channels that he might be looking towards the Big-12.

The staff has two new future Zags lined up for 2009 to go along with Arop and Dower. Something tells me while Withey would be a good get, the original plan might be what the Zags end up with.

Few knows what he is doing. If he has a plan to go along with Dower and Arop, then i am on board. Now if i only knew who they were?

Good, I'd rather see Fewie stick to his game plan and not lose forcus on the players that seemed solid to him before Withey fell of the UA wagon.
