Any news on how recruiting is going so far this weekend?

Brett Kingma loved it. He told me Gonzaga is "pretty much my dream school".

Also said we're definitely number one on his list. And "if it was only me I'd just commit now, but my AAU coach kinda wants to talk things over."

I would be very surprised if the 2011 guard is not a Zag. Very surprised.

His AAU coach? You'd think he'd want to talk with his parents. Interesting.

I'm sure that conversation has already taken place. Plus he is young, just starting his sophomore year. It's probably smart to keep options open.

As TKR said, Shane Harris-Tunks was here.

Kingma was here as well as an un-identified player from North Dakota (Cody Larsen). Also some junior college guys were here.

We'll have more info but there were plenty of young folks here for Kraziness.

I hope he has a change of heart. Cody gave Iowa a (solid verbal) says rivals.com.

I saw a young man sitting nearby that I assumed to be a recruit; I just wasn’t sure who he was till now. He was with his parents and they were having a great time. They were taking a video of all the festivities and it looked to me they were ready to sign on the dotted line. :D

I saw Kingma then watched his 8th grade highlight clip on YouTube; he reminds me of a young Dickau or Raivio. Just a total gamer who is in range the second he enters the gym.

Briefly met Harris-Tunks as he walked by with Giacoletti. I doubt he'll be a Zag, from what I hear.

Saw a fairly tall Juco kid. I'll let TKR do the revealing.

I'm expecting two more November commits.

That tall French kid from NIC was one.

Bob are the November commits just 2009 players, or is there a 2010 or 2011 player in there(Kingma)? I like the idea of JUCO big if he is capable of playing and contributing right away, like Montreal for instance. Any news about Montreal? Heard he was a likely spring decision, i think.

Montreal will be a Spring deal.

I can find nothing on Brett Kingma on scouts, rivals, or on the recruiting chart from this board. If I remember correctly from reading a thread a while ago that he's an Oregon SF from 2011, correct? Would we realistically be trying this early for him? Could this turn into another Brock Osweiler by trying to get him too early?

I believe someone mentioned that basketball is his only sport.

Of course, he could have a change of heart in terms of "dream school" but I wouldn't be too worried about that

I'm hoping the other commit is this guy from NIC:

http://www.nic.edu/athletics/index.asp?area=Men%27s%20Basketball&subarea=profile&season=2008&id=627

Although, my suspicion is that he didn't list his family all that accurately.

I don't know, Mal. He might be trying to omit the wild one of the fam. ;)
