Daequon Montreal is being recruited hard by Gonzaga but Junior College practice has begun and their season starts very soon, so he won't be visiting anyone until Spring. Oh, and the Zags aren't the only top-20 type team after him. He's being recruited nationwide. But the GU staff is doing a great job with him so hopefully he'll be a Zag in a few months.

Out of curiosity, why can't he enroll and play at GU this year? This guy sounds like he could help immediately.

He must first earn his Associate of Arts degree, which takes two years. He was a non-qualifier out of high school.

Are you sure that isn't his 'Ron Mexico' name? :)

We just had a Q&A over at TKR with a reporter from the Times News who now covers Daequon. He says some very good things. I have a good feeling about this kid.

Also, Daequon and his team have their version of "Kraziness in the Kennel" tonight. I wish I could have gone but the 8 hour drive to Southern Idaho may have made it tough! :)

CSI does play at NIC this winter, which is just 25 minutes up I-90. :)

Maybe some weekend you guys can trek down there. It's freeway most of the way.
