Looks like he's playing this weekend for the Moult Athletic team in the four-on-four Dolphin Park Classic at Thompson Community Center in Richmond, B.C., which Wiki says is in the Vancouver metro area. After 22 years at its original home, Dolphin Park, the annual four-on-four baskeball classic has a new home.

Canada’s version of New York’s renowned Rucker Park tournament has shifted to the Thompson Community Centre. Action tips off Friday at 4 p.m. with the Birds, representing the Univeristy of B.C. and led by Kevin Hansen, taking on the G-Bears who are mostly University of Alberta players led by Hugh Boyd grad Neb Aleksic.

Though there are 12 teams confirmed to participate, there are almost always a few surprise players.

“It is the nature of this type of event,” says Bruce Watson, one of the organizers. “Basically everyone is a free agent and no roster is ever set in stone.”

The remainder of the teams are expected to be something like this:

•The School, a Fraser Valley-based team led by Mike Lee;

•Runnin’ Rebels, led by Steve Lee and featuring Sean Anthony, Kevin Shaw, Chris Veale, Chris Porteus and Ben Frisby;

•AIA, led by Steve Janzen and featuring players from Trinity Western University;

•Mooseknuckles, led by Aman Heran and featuring Ross Bekkering, Josh Whyte and Pete Morris;

•Moult Athletic, led by Sherlan John and featuring the likes of big Bol Kong;

•Lomas, led by ageless Randy Coutts and featuring Keith Bustard, Jay Duke, Andrew Queen and several UVic ballers;

•MGD, led by Zach Russell and featuring Christain Upshaw, Mark Tasic and Mike Baxter;

•X-Falcons, led by Randy Nohr and featuring Navi Sekhon, Steve Ross, Casey Archibald and Billy Mcnutt;

•Monkeys, led by John Dykstra and featuring slam dunk king Josh Masters;

•Home Team/, led by Ed Haskins and a group of boys from Seattle.
Looks like fun!

Sure would be nice if some of our friends north of the border could snap a few pics of our guy to post here....

Nice catch, ZN.

I hope a Vancouver area Zag fan can stop in and watch Kong.
