The USBWA (basketball writers) have announced their all-district teams. GU is in District 9. The District 9 team includes Sean Denison, but does not include GU's Raivio or UW's Brockman.

haha unbelivable...i dont even know what to say to this...ive never even heard of this association but if these are the guys who write about college basketball and claim to be experts...well, it says a lot about them and the guys who hire them -
How embarrassing...
USWBA should be ashamed....not only did they screw Raivio but Dennison over Brockman - who just made the Pac 10 first team. What an embarrassment for this group!
I would love to see Brockman and Dennison match up against each other.....what a shame!!TMComment

Is there any indication that the Sportswriters followed the lead of the WCC coaches and voted before the end of the regular season (i.e. when Santa Clara had the league title all wrapped up)?
A funny thing happened on the way to the banner hanging ceremony.
There will be a big blank spot at Leavey (or Toso, or whatever they call their empty building). In the meantime -- some of their fellas got rewarded for "almost" winning a championship.
