Coach Emma will be cheering our Baskteball Players on from heaven now.

She passed this a.m.

I like to think of her and Fr Tony with our heavenly Father keeping stats.

Thank you Emma for your contribution to GU Basketball!!!

love,
mendiant

It must have been sudden, eh? My sister saw her having breakfast at our hotel at the WCC tournament when we were down there in March ... and she seemed chipper.

Thoughts and a prayer to her family and friends.

Thanks for letting us know, Mendiant.

She was a classic. :)

One of my fondest memories was when she walked out with Quentin Hall on Senior Night since he didn't have any family in town.

"MISS IT!"

We sit a couple of rows over and up from her. We have a couple of youngsters and she was so great with them. What a terrific lady! Won't be the same is absolutely correct.

I never had the opportunity to meet Emma but that story really punctuates why Gonzaga is a different breed in the Big $$ college sports scene.
Sure every state scool, and major U probably has a fan that comes to every game. But how many of those schools players share equal respect and admiration as the fan has for them.
Gonzaga is a different breed.
