Stover went on to say, “I’m hearing from Boston College, Oregon State, Gonzaga, Arizona State and Washington,” said Stover. “Oregon State and Washington have offered. Also, I’ve just recently been contacted by Marquette, Louisville and UConn.”

Previously, Stover expressed serious interest in Stanford and I asked him about the Cardinal.

And I’m going to visit Gonzaga sometime in June, but we haven’t set a date yet.”

Great Find:) I have always liked this kid because he has great height at 6'10'' and can run the floor. I never really thought that we had much interest in him, since we have been attracted to other post players. Are we now actually going to go after him and try to get him? i hope so. Don't get me wrong, i like Burton, but his looks to have a ton of potential. No one said we could not get both!

I hope to find more about Stover and if he is interested in us more than before. Looks like we got a chance.

Who is the local school that he is attracted to?

According to the Dawgman link, WSU has offered him.

Sweet. Zags have a good chance if UCLA doesn't offer.

Interesting. Greg Smith and Daniel Orton (who is a real stud) both have UCLA listed and both are higher rated than Stover. UCLA is in Smith's top 3. UCLA hasn't offered any of the three yet. It's had to beleive that they would offer Stover over Smith, but its a crazy business as we've seem.

This has to really help the Zag's chances:

La Canada -- that's perfect for this team. Everybody would be either Canadian or La Canadian.

Stover is a bit raw offensively, but he has a lot of upside. He also happens to be a very good student:

UCLA just signed a 6 ft 10 in 248 lb big transferring in from LSU. Article says he's supposed to be K Love's replacement.

That should take them out of the market for both Burton and Stover. Frankly I'd be overjoyed with either.

Spud, I hope you are right. But if he decides to go pro after his freshman year (like Love), then they will be still looking for someone. We can only hope that it looks like he will be there one or 2 more years.

By the way, he is not transferring from LSU (so he does not have to sit a year), he just got a release from his comittment to go there and then signed with UCLA.

Does anyone know what a grant in aid means?

I'm pretty sure that's the fancy phrase for scholarship.
