You can read the letter that Sampson sent to the NCAA infractions committee right here:

More about the letter and what will be taking place in the coming weeks:

The most interesting tidbit is that Indiana's hearing before the infractions committee is going to take place on June 14 in Seattle.

Also, in case this slipped by anyone, Sampson is now an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the sports world, it seems that the scum buckets always land on their feet.

Hey it was not me it was my staff that let me down. I can't be bothered to check caller-ID's possible infractions be damned.

Best excuse [from second article]:

Reacting to questions about why he did not check caller ID to ascertain that calls from prospects were not being forwarded to him by an assistant coach -- creating the three-way call that could violate his sanctions -- Sampson's response stated it was because calls were so precious during his one-year ban and because he was unable to return any missed recruiting calls he would generally answer on the first ring without concern for who might be on the line.

Translation: I know I'm on probation for statutory rape, but I didn't check this young girl's ID because young women are so precious during my probation, and I didn't want to lose her to some other guy.

I hope the NCAA hammers him.
