Read Jim's Blog (http://www.spokesmanreview.com/blogs/sportslink/archive/?postID=7754#more) for more of the following:
Gonzaga forward Josh Heytvelt, who missed the first 11 games of the 2007-08 season following surgery on a stress fracture in his right foot/ankle, had another operation on the same foot/ankle last week.

More on Heytvelt and 2009 recruit Mangisto Arop below in extended entry.

Heytvelt's foot/ankle apparently wasn't healing properly, so last week two screws were inserted in different places (two screws were inserted during the original procedure Nov. 12, the day after GU's season opener).

Heytvelt is on crutches and his foot is in a cast. He has plenty of time to heal and figures to be back on the court this summer. He missed about six weeks following the initial surgery.

Heytvelt averaged 10.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game during his junior season. He averaged 20.6 minutes per game.

--Wing Micah Downs had a minor operation on his foot following the season, but he’s already returned to the court. Downs averaged 7.9 points and 3.7 rebounds last season.
Jim has a bit more about Manny here (http://www.spokesmanreview.com/blogs/sportslink/archive/?postID=7754#more).

Okay, not really. Still riding the wave, & absolutely stoked about our newest Zags!
