NCAA to punish for poor Academics.

Nearly 150 Schools face loss of Scholarships and 26 more face possible bans from post season play if performance does not rapidly improve. The NCAA's Academic Progress report was released today(May 6) it shows that nearly 700 teams fell short of the mandated cut score. Thirty six schools were accessed two penalties and three schools had more than one team to make the list twice. Alabama -Birmingham in mens basketball, football & golf,San Diego State in mens baseball & football, and San Jose State in mens baseball & basketball. The only BCS Schools mentioned were WVU & Tennesee, both had three sports warned, including mens hoops at Tennesee .For complete details see Comcast.net Sports. I am glad to see that perhaps the word student-athlete will once more really mean something.

USF got a schollie pulled based on their APR... at least according to the NCAA.

        Southern Cal loses 2 schollies.

        Above are hoops schollies

Cougs lose 8 football scholarships. Ouch.

What you were looking for wasn't found. Maybe we can help you figure out where to go.

              Another local hit.

Idaho loses a hoops ride., and they sure can't afford it.
