Providence as offered Jim Larranaga the top spot there: http://msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/7978164/Providence-offers-job-to-alum-Larranaga

Larranaga was a star point guard for the Friars back in the '70s and this is the only job that would ever get him to consider leaving Mason. He was extremely non-committal on a local radio show this morning. He said that the decision was a private matter and not something that should be discussed publicly. I think that line is a bs way out. How can the decision to leave the top coaching position at a publicly funded school be considered private.

Anyway, things may get a little complicated for Mason since one of their top replacements would be one of there assistants from last year who is the WKU top assistant coach and who now may well have other options available, too.

Jim Larranaga has decided to stay the coach at George Mason and not accept an offer to come to Providence College, according to PC associate athletic director Arthur Parks. A release from athletic director Bob Driscoll is due at any moment.
