I've seen many of these quotes before, but still nice to see Daye getting some love on this (the western) part of the state.

Nice find, Fu. Thanks.

You can't help but smile at this:

Daye has nailed almost 50 percent (49.5) of his field-goal attempts, and his free-throw shooting percentage of 89.6 leads the WCC and ranks among the best in the nation. He made the WCC all-freshman team and was an honorable mention all-conference selection.

Nice article. I loved this bit:

"We're just building the foundation," Few said. "It's going to be an awfully tall building when it's done."

Just a great way of looking at it. Few and Co have helped build a lot of solid foundations. This one might be one whopper of a building.

That tall building remark was great!

The author, Howie Stallwick, drives me nuts, though, because he shops his stories around to various NW publications, maybe adds a sentence or two, and republishes the same stuff he's published elsewhere. As a result, I find myself feeling a sense of deja vu frequently when I read his stuff. Much of that story appeared in the Olympian February 13 and was discussed on an earlier thread here. (http://www.guboards.spokesmanreview.com/showthread.php?p=166450#post166450) there's just enough new stuff to make in necessary to read the old stuff to get to it.
