Well...many people may not know this....but I am pretty much the coolest guy on this board when it comes to designing awards...Matter of fact, back in 1988 (same year the Yankees won the World Series)....

I wonder what alternate dimension the '88 Yanks won the series... but now we know why WooHoo has his "time zone isssues" - they're related to his time-space-continuum issues.

Well...I don't know if you would call it an alternate dimension...but the scientific term is "Woohoo Standard Time". That's where all dreams come true.

Gunit end of year

If I get a vote, Pendo is mine. We would have lost a whole lot more games without him this year and who knows if we have anyone on the team that could be Pendo next year. We have lots of talent, but a heart like his... the only zag who may even come close in my book is a Laker today.

This is no disrespect to Either Spink, Scott Snider, Kyle Bankhead or many of the other great Zags we have had. I just think Pendo is and has been special from the day he became a Zag. (what was that, like 1996 or so)

I am still trying to decide on how to figure the GUnit of The Season...

It will either be an open vote, just like the GUnit of The Game...or I will just see who took the award in the most games over the course of the season...

I propose that there be a series of run offs, maybe like 'The Foo Picks' series. We just whittle it down to one with all invited to sway other voters in each iteration.

I agree with the open voting idea, but I think the voting should take place after the season ends. This means after the WCC & NCAA tourneys. I think performance during those 8 post-season games should matter.

Yes, I said 8. Consider it a "best-case scenario."

My 2 cents would be that you go with open voting, but the stipulation that they'd have to have been a GUnit during the season... not that they wouldn;t have been.

I second the motion of the distinguished gentleman from Long Island.

Only those that have been named GUnit are eligible for the season award.
