I know this does not usually engender as much discussion as Joe Lunardi's Bracketology.

In this Women's bracketology, Gonzaga is listed as a #13 seed playing Kansas St. as a #4 seed in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Lady Zags are placed in the Greensboro Bracket where UConn is seeded #1.

I can't recall off hand as to how this compares to Gonzaga's seeding and match up last year.

We were in the Dayton Regionals, a 12 seed. We played Middle Tennessee State, a 5 seed and lost 85-46.

A 13 seed doesn't seem to do justice to this year's team. Maybe those early road game losses to teams we should not have lost to are coming back to haunt us??

Further info to last year, Marist, a 13 seed in the Dayton Regionals went on to beat Middle Tennessee State 73-59, after beating Ohio State a 4 seed 67-63.

My point being, in Women's Basketball, seeding seems to be much more open than it is for the men, once you get past the Big 3 to Big 6 (depending on where you draw the line). But it would still be nice to be seeded much higher this year.

Footnote: Oh. By the way. The No. 1 seed in the Dayton Regionals was Tennessee.
