Holy cow, those flops were getting old...end of rant, haha.

Say what you want, we had a couple guys with a strong 4-5 minutes here and there, but NO DOUBT, PARGO carried this team. His line was ridiculous...something like 13, 6, and 6? CRAZY!

Honarable mention- JOSH, he continues to improve every game, and tonight he showed the most intensity yet. THIS IS EXCITING! AND A HUGE KEY TO OUR SUCCESS IN THE POST SEASON!!!

Josh gets honorable mention-

02-25-2008, 09:58 PM
Pargo and Pendo both played great. But who was #42?

Josh Heytvelt

No doubt about it, everytime we needed a basket, Pargo delivered. I also liked the way Heytvelt played tonight, big on the boards and very assertive on offense. This was not a 20+ point game, but we made it that way...a job well done Zags, especially the last 10 minutes!

Pargo definitely.

And I second your honorable mention. I got shivers seeing Josh unleash a couple of times. His jumper is looking more and more ragged though...

02-25-2008, 09:59 PM
Micah lit the fire down the stretch....

02-25-2008, 10:03 PM
Pargo. by alot.

02-25-2008, 10:03 PM
Pargo for sure

02-25-2008, 10:04 PM

Sealed it with his 2 minute stretch right before half...difference in the game!

HMent: Josh looked good and ANRGY! The drop step dunk over the left shoulder was a thing of beauty! The difference between a flame out and a dangerous team

02-25-2008, 10:04 PM
Pargo is the GUnit, but several honorable mentions.

Heytvelt played very solid, a few more minutes and he would have had a double double. Energy levels back to about 90%, on court ability back to about 80%, but I think he's 100% into the games mentally. Good showing!

Honorable mention to GU's team defense in the second half and Portland's team defense in the first half.

Big Honorable mention to UP PG Ito. Made some clutch shots and should give credit where credit is due.

And, big honorable mention to a young and scrappy Portland team. They never quit, never gave up. Kept playing hard and believed they could win. You gotta appreciate that in a team that is 2-9 in conference play.

02-25-2008, 10:05 PM
JP without doubt, but others contributed muchly.

02-25-2008, 10:07 PM
Pargo. The Bardo love fest was well deserved.

But josh... good to see the SCOWL back!

02-25-2008, 10:07 PM
It mister flush. Go Josh.

02-25-2008, 10:09 PM
Jeremy Pargo

Honorable Mention: JOSH.

And a shout out to Kuso for bringing the intensity !!

Zag, You're It!
02-25-2008, 10:12 PM

Loved Josh's playing though... :D

02-25-2008, 10:12 PM
PARGO!!! & His Texas Two Step

Kudos to Josh..... He looked really good tonight...

02-25-2008, 10:14 PM
Gotta go with Pargo. He got the inexorable roll going.

Josh is very close to getting my vote, though. He was changing shots, hustling and looking tough. Very good to see.

People are giving Josh votes, but Kuso had almost the same stats. It's just that Josh improved more from last game to this game so he seemed to play better.

Pargo was my GUnit! With Pendo picking up honorable mention.

Pargo was the difference in this game.

Josh made a big leap forward from where he has been.

So .... how do we explain the first 30 minutes of this game? Very perplexing team.

We kept sawing wood, as Few would say. However for long stretches we were holding that saw by the wrong end, sharp side up. We won an ugly game. Let's move on.

So .... how do we explain the first 30 minutes of this game? Very perplexing team.

Pretty easy explanation, IMO...

02-25-2008, 10:27 PM
PARGO showed the way tonite...

02-25-2008, 10:30 PM
I am going with Mister Pargo also, good to see Josh with some fire in his eyes though. Also good to see the orginaitor of the GUnit thread back starting the thread again.

02-25-2008, 10:37 PM
Gotta go with Pargo (and Pargo's Promising Play's)

Honorable Mention to JH!!!

02-25-2008, 10:44 PM
Pargo all the way tonight. Great to see Josh looking more like his old self.

02-25-2008, 10:46 PM
Some of those crossovers were just brutal.

Pargo deserves it, no question. However, in light of his tremendously improved play and real production down low, I'm going with Heytvelt. He's had a long road back and he's not all the way there yet, but we can begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

02-25-2008, 11:02 PM
Josh. It was like deja vu there for a bit.

02-25-2008, 11:17 PM
Me like Pargo

02-25-2008, 11:27 PM
Kuso was my pick, though I missed the first 10 minutes of the game due to a meeting. Kuso was awesome - destructive inside. BAM! Pargo is my 2, and Pendo the 3. Downs was 4. Good job by the TEAM in the second half, after a clunker of a first 15 minutes.

02-26-2008, 05:02 AM
Jeremy Pargo.

02-26-2008, 06:03 AM
JPiddy to ARRRRRR Go

02-26-2008, 06:52 AM
The Chicago Kid. Pargo was the soul of the team last night.

Also that stuff off the dribble by Josh told me that he is almost all the way back. Keep up the work Josh and you'll be getting a GUnit by the end of the season.

02-26-2008, 07:23 AM
My GUnit was the "new guy" #42, controlled the boards, shot inside very well and ran the floor...Welcome back just in time! Josh Heytvelt

02-26-2008, 07:26 AM
Pargo with his sick drives to the basket

02-26-2008, 07:40 AM

I don't know where he came from but that was the old josh. With out his D, boards, and muscle in the post we don't win this game. I know Pargo was the general tonight but Josh was the Tank. He had a coming out party and I hope he brings that Sat. Go Zags and it's good to see Josh looking like the guy that we knew. One last note, the touch on the baby hook is slowly coming back.

02-26-2008, 08:37 AM
Pargo, hands down.

02-26-2008, 09:02 AM
really want to vote for Josh... but the only vote I can reasonably justify is -

02-26-2008, 09:21 AM
Pargo, we don't win this game without him.

02-26-2008, 10:38 AM
Jeremy ignited the offense when nothing was going. He got the whole team out of its funk.

02-26-2008, 10:56 AM

The MVP of this team does it again. Anytime we need to be picked up, this man takes over and gives the zags a lift. Good work Jeremy, I love that this kid listens to coach and creates plays all game long, then when his team needs a little spark he brings it back to his days in Chi-town and flat out balls on somebody!!

02-26-2008, 11:05 AM
1. Pargo
2. Josh
3. Micah

02-26-2008, 12:34 PM
1. Pargo
2. Josh
3. Micah

Me too.

02-26-2008, 12:36 PM
Lots of guys contributed, but Pargo was the difference maker.

02-26-2008, 01:45 PM
without question - PARGO!

Props to Josh, he had flashes where he looked like the Josh of old:)

02-26-2008, 03:16 PM
Micah Downs. nothing has been said about Micah's game, but to me it really stood out. I thought it was his best game of the year, and his minutes back that statement up. He really is taking the position away from Gray. Gray has definately hit some kind of wall (can't seem to buy a 3 pt bucket). And now Downs seems to have found his stoke. His length and athleticism makes him tough to score on. I think his defense has kind of got unnoticed this year. I think his IQ is also starting to show. I loved the play where he went back door for the reverse lay up. But mostly, I love to see him shoot the 3 ball.

02-26-2008, 03:41 PM
Definitely Jeremy Pargo. I got tired of the announcers constatly saying that PArgo wa angry at his team and he had to make all the baskets to show them how to do it. They said that at least 3-4 times. "Pargo is angry at his team." Lame commentary. I prefer our guys.

02-26-2008, 03:50 PM
Chi Town native, Mistah Pargo

02-26-2008, 04:19 PM
it's a tie: Heytvelt and Pargo.

02-26-2008, 04:48 PM

02-26-2008, 07:22 PM
1. Pargo
2. Josh
3. Micah

Ditto, Go!! Zags!!!

02-26-2008, 09:33 PM
I think I will go with someone orginal. PARGO

02-26-2008, 09:40 PM

Tally the votes.
