What a freakin' wild atmosphere. Can anyone miss a trey? Sheesh. I wonder if the atmosphere and introductions were similar for our game at this beginning in FedExForum.

DV raises a good question...who would win in a game at the Fedex Forum between the Grizzlies and Tigers? :D

I wish Gonzaga was one of those teams. Dang!

Well, we did just get mentioned a couple times.

These two teams have so much speed. That's the difference.

33 of the 53 points scored in this game have been on 3-pointers (with only 14 on two pointers). This doesn't sound like a Memphis game at all.

Half - 35-34 Tigers.

I've got to believe tired legs in the second half will lower the percentage of treys. There's a huge energy expenditure out on that court.

Hard to believe with all that action that the game is on pace to finish 70-68.

Tenn takes the lead. Nope, now Memphis. Scratch that. Vols up 2.

(Kinda nice to not be anxious over a game of our own, and just kick back for the day and watch some hoops. )

going uncalled.

I can't help but think if those were WCC refs, alot more time would be spent at the f.t. line by both sides and the game would be considerably slower.

I think I prefer the looser calling and the less control as a result. I notice, too, the coaches are yelling in the ref's faces pretty regularly.

Man...people like to say the Zags have depth.

Tennessee has guys like Prince coming off the bench!

i like the physical games and i think the zags do well when the refs let them play

agreed. i hate it when the ref's "take control." actually they change the games.

fwiw, if memory serves, the foul calling tended to escalate in our game against TN towards the end. Mem, too.

thats true, the refs tighten up at end too, you got to expect that in most games. I'd like to see the zags get better at FT's for that reason.

The cougs are in a tough one against AZ. i like rochestie i wish he was on GU

I really felt Memphis made some very low basketball IQ plays in this game. The topper was the 2nd to last offensive sequence for Memphis when Antonio Anderson drove into no man's land and put up a horrible shot. That ball should've been in the hands of Derrick Rose...not only because he is Memphis' playmaker, but also because he couldn't miss a shot in the 2nd half.

Memphis played like a team that needed a loss to right the ship. Well, they got one

I bet Arizona wishes they had JP Prince. He was the difference in the game tonight.

I have seen very, very few teams that play as hard all the time like the Vols do. Pearl is just a master motivator. When you see how their team looks on the floor in terms of its size and how they play, they remind you, on the surface, of a very good, scrappy overachieving team from outside of the BCS leagues. But they aren't an overachieving team because those scrappy players are very talented. It's a team that's really hard not to like.

The Dozier/Dorsey rebound was just about the most idiotic play I've ever seen. Why couldn't they do things like that against us with less than a minute remaining? :o

Dorsey looked pretty dumb out there. Wonder what kind of student he is.

That's 3 points for the mighty Dorsey in the past 2 meetings between the teams. I have to say that I have a lot more confidence now after winning in a tough environment with our 2 best players playing their worst games of the year

That's why I thank God that Valentine wasn't officiating this game
